Md. Amir Khasru

Mr. MD. AMIR KHASRU joined as Controller General of Accounts (CGA, Grade-1) of Bangladesh on 25th June, 2016 and continued till 08th May, 2017. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Amir Khasru served as Controller General Defence Finance (CGDF).

Mr. Amir Khasru was born on 9th May, 1958. He did his graduation with honours (BSS) and Masters (MSS) in International Relations from the University of Dhaka in 1978 and in 1979 respectively. He obtained diploma in public sector auditing and accounting from Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), London U.K in 1995.

A member of Bangladesh Civil Service, Audit and Accounts cadre of 5th batch (1982 batch), Mr. Md. Amir Khasru joined Audit department on 28th December 1983. During his career in civil service Mr. Amir Khasru served in various important positions including Chief accounts officer (Ministry of Health), Additional Controller General of Accounts, Finance Controller (Bangladesh ordnance factories), Senior finance controller (works), Director General (DG) Foreign Aided Projects Audit Directorate, Deputy Comptroller and Audit General (procedure), DG- Local and Revenue Audit Directorate, DG-Works Audit Directorate, DG- Mission Audit Directorate and DG FIMA (Financial Management Academy). He also worked as Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Senior) from 2009 to 2013.

In course of performing official duties Mr. Md. Amir khasru visited different countries including India, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, China, Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan, Japan, Australia, Russia, Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada and the United States.

He is married with two sons and one daughter.
